We are Gang Green!

Hola Readers, Familia, Friends and Peek-A-Boo-ers!   Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!  Hope y'all enjoy and make wonderful memories with your loved ones today.  I know I will be doing lots of hugging, kissing, playing, laughing and of course eating!  This Thanksgiving Day, among the usual things we are thankful for, I am especially thankful for my new job and the lovely ladies I have a pleasure of mingling working with every weekday.  In lieu, I wanted to do a special post introducing my new found friends with y'all.
We are in the business of helping people and that is all I will mention for now.  We are a team of five and on our first day of work, we were told we are Gang-Green. We all started the day of our employer's birthday and were told he came up with that name for us collectively.  But, let's get on with the lovelies!

To break the ice, I asked them the same two questions.  This is Autumn, Da Rock Star of the bunch!
What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving Day?
I'm finally, after seven years, back home with my family.  This will be the first Holiday season in five years that I get to spend with all my daughters.

If you could describe the essence of who you are in a song, what song would it be and why?
"I'm a Bitch" by Meredith Brooks
I draw strength from it.  I always saw myself as someone no one liked as a kid, so I put up walls.  When I met my husband he was the one person who loved all sides of me without complaint.  The song mirrors my mood changes and how it's okay to be a bitch.

Next, is Nadia.  She is the youngest of the group, so she is Da Lil' Sis

What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving Day?
My new job, being back in beautiful South Florida, having my mother in town the past three weeks.

If you could describe the essence of whom you are in a song, what song would it be and why?
Pink "Blow Me One Last Kiss"
Describes my weekends a/k/a my social life a/k/a my life in general!
My love life, hangovers and monday blues :)

"White knuckles and sweaty palms from hanging on too tight
Clenched shut jaw, I've got another headache again tonight
Eyes on fire, eyes on fire, and they burn from all the tears
I've been crying, I've been crying, I've been dying over you
Tie a knot in the rope, tryin' to hold, tryin' to hold,
But there's nothing to grasp so I let go

I think I've finally had enough, I think I maybe think too much

I think this might be it for us (blow me one last kiss)

You think I'm just too serious, I think you're full of shit
My head is spinning so (blow me one last kiss)

Just when it can't get worse, I've had a shit day (NO!)

Have you had a shit day? (NO!), we've had a shit day (NO!)

I think that life's too short for this, I want back my ignorance and bliss
I think I've had enough of this, blow me one last kiss.

I won't miss all of the fighting that we always did,

Take it in, I mean what I say when I say there is nothing left

No more sick whiskey dick, no more battles for me
You'll be calling a trick, 'cause you'll no longer sleep
I'll dress nice, I'll look good, I'll go dancing alone
I will laugh, I'll get drunk, I'll take somebody home

Blow me one last kiss

I will do what I please, anything that I want

I will breathe, I will breathe, I won't worry at all

You will pay for your sins, you'll be sorry my dear
All the lies, all the why's, will all be crystal clear"
Disclaimer:  My notes above are written while hungover on 3-1/2 hours of sleep after I pulled a 16 hour shift. I may regret this later or laugh about it.  We shall see.

There is always a Mother Hen in the bunch and that is Anabel "Anni".  She's been wanting to start her own blog, so I told her, there are no coincidences! ;)
What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving Day?
I am especially grateful this year for having both my children alive and well, there is nothing I fear more than losing a child, no matter how old they are.  My heart goes out to all of the mothers who have lost a child, no matter the reason.  I am thankful and so grateful for my fiancee, who is the love of my life and someone I never thought I would find.  I am thankful for my parents, sister and my hug and amazing, loud, opinionated and sometimes obnoxious Cuban family.  They are the BOMB DIGGITY.  I am thankful for having a good job and being surrounded by amazing women who are positive, beautiful and together we make a great team.  I am most grateful for my heavenly Father who through all of my faults, mistakes, errors and omissions, continues to show me his love for me.

If you could describe the essence of whom you are in a song, what song would it be and why?
That's a tough question.  If I am in a romantic mood, anything by Luis Miguel.  I love his beautiful voice as well as his amazing face!  If I am a little bit country that day, then George Strait is the man and when my blood-lines kick in and I have to move my feet and dance, my Cuban roots take hold and I am all over Celia Cruz and I "azucar" all night until I can no longer feel my feet.

Da Princess of the castle?  Well, that's Monique! Always dressing ready for the royal ball ;)
What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving Day?
My family for being so supportive, kind and loving.  I'm very lucky to have a daughter who is my best firend and only friend.  A mother who will bend over backwards for me and a boyfriend who worships me.  there's nothing we can't do as a family or try and work on.

If you could describe the essence of whom you are in a song, what song would it be and why?
"Stomp" by Kirk Franklin
I've been extremely blessed by God's grace and I appreciate every day.  He's touched my life and helped those who had faith.  I've seen the miracles happen.  I't not over until God says it's over.  so don't give up and don't give in.  See when God is for you, who can be against you.

Thank you Autumn, Nadia, Anabel and Monique for your kind willingness to answer my questions and letting me share y'all with my blog-o-sphere family.  Also, for making my Thanksgiving Day a little extra special this year.  Party hard and see y'all Monday!

And to my readers, familia, friends and peek-a-booers....keep being as awesome as you are.  You guyz are superdeeduperdee great and I appreciate each and everyone one of YOU!

Thanks for all the love and support!

Tootles!
