30 Days Grateful: Day 19 - Loving, Tender, Tight Hugs!

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today.  I had a really hectic day today.  After a smooth drive home from work on the highway, I encountered a big traffic jam nearly 10 minutes away from home that lasted 35 minutes.  It felt like if I was in a turtle race.  When I got home I took a nice cold shower (yep cold), I find it so refreshing.  I then sat in front of my laptop responding to emails and updating drafts and scheduling posts.  Now that I am back at work, time for blogging is limited again.  So, I am getting organized and trying to set as much posts up as possible.

Needless to say 30 minutes turned into hours and I did not realize this until my eyes felt heavy and my back hurt.  Then after I thought I was finished, I remember I had not composed my post for the 30 Days Grateful I am doing for the month of November.  At that moment my eldest daughter came in the room and saw my tired face and said "Mom go to bed".  To which I frustratingly answered "I can't!" followed by a crying "I've been here for hours and just realized I have not done my grateful post!!".

During this dialogue I did not realize that my eldest G-kid was listening in.  She came immediately towards me, shoved my laptop to the side away from me and opened her arms wide and gave me the most loving, tender, tight hug I've ever received.  My heart just melted in her embrace and nothing else mattered.

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today...loving, tender, tight hugs!

Your turn to share what you are grateful for today :)

Tootles!
