Soul Food Monday! - An Inspirational Link-Up #14

Man is the soul that uses the body as an instrument of self-expression.
Hola Readers! Hope this morning everyone is having a great rise along with a BIG appetite for life where ever in the world you may find yourself today. A life filled with excitement and prosperity!   Acknowledging first that we are more than just a body is a good start to healthy wholeness.  Let's take time to feed the soul.  We feed our bodies with healthy foods to get enough energy and nutrients for optimal growth and development.  We feed and stimulate the mind with books, movies, plays and games for personal and creative development.  The same principal applies to feeding the soul.  It is just as important to feed the body as it is to feed the soul!  After all, the soul is the core of who we are!  It is who we are.  My own experiences of honoring my soul has helped me make this connection with my very soul.  And my life is so much richer in so many ways I could not have even imagined.  This is why I refuse to believe that we are just here to work, eat, sleep and die.  Yes, these are inevitable experiences we live as human beings, but we are spiritual beings as well.  So join me every Monday with a different food for the soul.

This week's feed...Making Decisions

The Seven Decisions consist of seven affirmation readings for each day of the week.  The author, Andy Andrew, came up with these decisions while being homeless after losing both his parents at the tender age of 19.  These seven decisions eventually shaped his book The Traveler's Gift later in life.  I believe these seven decisions to be an enriching source of food for the soul as well as a great spiritual growth tool.  Thereby I've decided to incorporate them in my Soul Food Monday Inspirational Link-Up until all seven have been shared.

Decision 3
The Active Decision
I Am a Person of Action

Beginning today, I will create a new future by creating a new me.  No longer will I dwell in a pit of despair, moaning over squandered time and lost opportunity.  I can do nothing about the past.  My future is immediate.  I will grasp it in both hands and carry it with running feet.  When I am faced with the choice of doing nothing or doing something, I will always choose to act!  I seize this moment.  I choose now.

I am a person of action.  I am energetic.  I move quickly.  Knowing that laziness is a sin, I will create a habit of lively behavior.  I will walk with a spring in my step and a smile on my face.  The lifeblood rushing through my veins is urging me upward and forward into activity and accomplishment.  Wealth and prosperity hid from the sluggard, but rich rewards come to the person who moves quickly.

I am a person of action.  I inspire others with my activity.  I am a leader.  Leading is doing.  To lead, I must move forward.  Many people move out of the way for a person on the run; others are caught up in his wake.  My activity will create a wave of success for the people who follow.  My activity will be consistent.  this will instill confidence in my leadership.  As a leader, I have the ability to encourage and inspire others to greatness.  It is true:  An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep!

I am a person of action.  I can make a decision.  I can make it now.  A person who moves neither left nor right is destined for mediocrity.  When faced with a decision, many people say they are waiting for God.  But I understand, in most cases, God is waiting for me!  He has given me a healthy mind to gather and sort information and the courage to come to a conclusion.  I am not a quivering dog, indecisive and fearful.  My constitution is strong and my pathway clear.  Successful people make their decisions quickly and change their mind slowly.  Failures make their decisions slowly and change their mind quickly.  My decisions come quickly and they lead to victory.

I am a person of action.  I am daring.  I am courageous.  Fear no longer has a place in my life.  For too long, fear has outweighed my desire to make things better for my family.  Never again!  I have exposed fear as a vapor, an impostor who never had any power over me in the first place!  I do not fear opinion, gossip, or the idle chatter of monkeys for all are the same to me.  I do not fear failure, for in my life, failure only exists for the person who quits.  I do not quit.

I am courageous.  I am a leader.  I seize this moment.  I choose now.

I AM A PERSON OF ACTION.

Wishing everyone a magical Monday and a week full of love, laughter and excitement!

Friends, Outfits and Inspiration!

Hola Readers, Friends, Familia and Peek-A-Booers!  Hope every one's Christmas was as blessed as mine.  I had a superdeeduperdee fun time with the Familia (pictures to follow soon) so I hope you come back to check them out and meet my loved ones.  Anyhoo, I am always in the look-out for inspiration.  Inspiration can be found anywhere and in the smallest of things if you are opened to it.  One morning last week, I was at my desk at work when Monique, the co-worker I share office space with, walks in and Ka-Pow, I was inspired by her outfit.  So, I pulled out my camera and told her to pose.  Yep, those who know me very well know I always have a camera near by.  I just say abracadabra and poof the camera appears in my hands ;)

The inspiration led to this feature post of Friends, Outfits and Inspiration as well as other future posts.

There you have it...the first feature of Friends, Outfits and Inspiration!  I always have my visual antennas on and a camera nearby so I am looking forward to sharing more Friends, Outfits and Inspiration in the new year.  Don't forget to come back tomorrow to feed your soul and link up with Soul Food Monday! - An Inspirational Link-Up!

The Aloha Friday Blog Hop is more than a "Friday" hop, it's a way to share aloha and friendship to our fellow bloggers all weekend long!!  I consider this particular blog hop to be more of a weekend hop because Fridays are so hectic that a lot of people function on what we like to call "Hawaiian Time" here in Hawai'i which means they link up on Saturday or sometimes even Sunday which is just fine and dandy with me!  That's why I keep it open from Friday through Wednesday because I sincerely believe, the more the merrier!!

Can you believe it's the 36th Aloha Friday Blog Hop?!  My how time flies!!
