January Amor!.....Meet the Sponsors!

It's always nice saving the best for last.  Here are the lovelies that beautified my sidebar with Sponsor Amor! I asked them two questions:  Why do you love yourself? and If your life were a movie, who would you want to play your part?   I encourage you to browse and meet each and everyone of these lovely ladies.  They are truly beautiful souls!

ANNI THINKS...

Hi I'm Anni.  A newbie blogger.  I blog over at Anni Thinks.  I am a simple girl, who loves laughter and sharing my life's experience with others. I hope that at least on some level whatever I have experienced, be it good or bad will help someone else realize that HOPE is the last thing we should loose.  I believe that love can take us through anything in life, and we all have someone that loves us. Let's share our stories and make someone S M I L E today. :)

If I could choose someone to play me in my life I guess I would have to say it could only be ME. My pains, sorrows, happy and both sad experiences are what have made me, well me. So I really cannot think of anyone else.  Hope you come by and say hello.

A Cat-Like Curiosity
Hi, my name is Sarah and I blog over at A Cat-Like Curiosity. I am a curious soul who lives a creative life making art, sewing cushions, writing books and my blog. The main aim of my blog is to inspire - I see ACLC as an online magazine full of DIY ideas, artistic inspiration and life stories and lessons. I am inspired by the creative work I do and would love to be able to inspire others in turn!

If there was a movie made of my life I would love to have Jennifer Love Hewitt play me, as I love her style in Ghost Whisperer so much!

Lariats and Lavender

Hi, I'm Angie of Lariats and LavenderWhy I love myself: I love myself because love and passion are the most important parts of my life, above anything and everything else. Love for Jen and our babies, our family and friends, love for myself and the Earth. Passion for my hobbies, my beliefs and mine and Jen's goals. I stand up for myself, those I love and what I believe in. I am unique, and I don't follow what is popular or trendy unless it's something I already love. This is why I love being me.

In a movie: Years ago I would have said Helena Bonham Carter (who played Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter) or Claudia Black (known for her role as Vala Mal Doran on Stargate SG-1) however after watching Battlestar Galactic with Katee Sackhoff as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, there are no other celebrities who could play "me" in my opinion. Katee and I not only look rather similar (when I have blond hair especially!) but her character of Starbuck was so much LIKE ME that I felt like I was literally watching myself at times!

quintonwench

Hi I'm Karen of quintonwench.  I'm thirty-something.  I'm married to David.  I'm from Quinton.  I live in Halesowen.  I love New York.  I love cheese.  I'm a crafter.  I'm a crocheter.  I'm a wannabe photographer.  I can't knit for toffee.  I play the guitar.  And most importantly....I can roll my tongue!

SHASHACK

Hey there Hey!  My name is Zulaima Estrella Morales better known as Shasha from the SHASHACK blog where all thoughts and topics are welcome to be shared and discussed. I love to find out about all kinds of useful information and share it with family and friends! I love the social aspect of it (I LOVE to talk) as well the serving part where I get to constantly share in all shapes ways and forms.  I am on a mission to build an Empire for my family & I!!! Almost 30 & embracing it with every part of my being. I am a professional make-up artist & professional hair stylist, aspiring professional photographer. I am a go-getter. There is nothing to big or small that I can't or won't grasp with my own hands if I have to!!! I am married to Shaun "C' and have 3 amazingly beautiful children both inside & out.  I learn so much from them day to day. And I am just ready to SHOUT OUT!!! I am HERE!!! THIS IS ME!!! - Shasha - I love myself for having determination. I will not give up and I look forward to seeing the other side while enjoying the climb over.

If my life were a movie, which sometimes I think it really could be, I would have Nicole Kidman play my part with her grace and classic beauty. She can carry me on with her poise and witty humor while expressing every so passionately how she wants the world yet it isn't enough!!!

LISTENING Rather Then SPEAKING
of LISTENING Rather Then SPEAKING. Why I love myself? This is a hard question to answer because honestly I really don't. Yes I know this is crazy to say. I have a love more for other people. I tend to put myself at the bottom of the list every time. I have a huge love for giving back to everyone or trying to find a way to give back to them.

If I was in a movie I would want  Jennifer Garner to play me. The reasons why is because (one) she is beautiful, (two) she has a positive look on children, (three) she is an amazing overall person, (four) she has a good marriage, and (five) she doesn't let fame get to her head.

A Piece of SHE...

Hi I'm Shainee of A Piece of SHE...  Why I Love Myself?  I never hurt anyone intentionally. I try not to expect anything from anyone (Sometimes, I fail miserably. I end up expecting little things from my near and dear ones like a call or text).  I forgive easily although I do not forget. (But I am here to write about the good things about myself. so, ignore the second part) I try my best not to misguide anyone when they ask my advice. Love is most important to me than anything else in the world.  I have overcome many personal hurdles. I am a survivor and fighter.  I am honest compare to other people around me. (This is the only thing I never want to change in myself. Keeping my Fingers crossed as time has a tendency to change everyone).

That is all about me. If my life were a movie, I think no one can act better than I can. Therefore, I would act myself. Aren’t we all already acting in our own movie called “life” directed by God? Don’t worry I am not going to take a philosophy class here :-D   Happy Blogging lovelies and Take care!

dream it, darling
Hi, I'm Yaya and I blog over at Dream it, Darling. I blog about life, love, travel, ideas, thoughts, mental health, self development, and all things real. My blog is a mish mash of thoughts and ideas, but isn't that life? A mix of it all? I also write about my life as an expat. Being an American abroad has been a great, sad, confusing, fantastic adventure and I like to share all of that as well. Hope you stop by and find something you like.

Genuine, quirky, honest, endearing, talkative, and sweet; those are probably the reasons that if I ever had a movie made of my life I would pick Mandy Moore to play me.  I was compared to her by an older woman I worked with over ten years ago, and believe it or not I have strived to not lose that sort of innocence and authenticity that I think of when the name 'Mandy Moore' comes to mind. That is also one of the reasons that I love myself, I am genuine. We all talk about what we don't like about ourselves, and it's refreshing to be able to be frank enough and say what we do. I am authentic, and very genuine, and even though there are many things I can work on to improve myself, I am very proud of the fact that I have always, will always, 'keep it real'.

The (Not so) Fascinating Life of Tabitha

of The (Not so) Fascinating Life of Tabitha.  The reason why we love ourselves changes as our path in life changes, but at this very moment I love myself for having the energy to work, go to school, and be a mother and a wife.  The dirty clothes are piled up, the kitchen is a mess, but I have my nose in a textbook and I couldn't be happier.  8 classes and counting down and I will have my bachelor's degree.

I would chose Cate Blancett to play me.  Of course she is a million times classier than I will ever be, but she is one of my favorite actress and she can make anything worth watching.. even a movie about me (ha!)..

Thank you ladies for all the wonderful love and support!  And for beautifying my sidebar! I appreciate YOU!

25 Things Fat People Shouldn't Do: Two for One....#7 and #8

"25 Things Fat People Shouldn't Do is an unabashed middle finger to the preposterous idea that any human who weighs more than the status quo does not deserve to live a full and well rounded (ahem) life. The list of 25 is composed word for word from direct lists of sheer assholery found on the internet. These range from the absurd to the profoundly shameful, and I will be disproving this offensive notion with style. Feel free to join in on the fun, and if you do, link at the bottom so I can share. May the Chub Club live long and prosper!"  ~Jes of The Militant Baker.  Naturally, being of a curious and strong-willed nature, I decided to Strut My Walk like only I can!

It's been a while since I posted anything to scratch off the 25 Things list, so I decided to tackle sitting in a booth and eating in public, which is something I take pleasure in doing once in a while.  I shared the day with the other G-Mom.  We share the most incredible and loving love there is....the love for our G-kidz!
Awwww, aren't they just adorable!?
Anyhoo, let's get on with tackling the list.  Ya know, I really have fun!
The booth was comfortable and guess what?  I didn't get stuck!  Imagine that!  Nope.  No need to call rescue on account of a fat person getting stuck in a booth...how ridunkulous is that!?   Now comes the fun part!  The eating!  The eating of delicious food!  What ever I WANT!  What's up with fat people shouldn't eat in public!?  I really just don't get it.
The G-Mom and I had a wonderful time.  Great conversation, great food and a great memory.  Just us two girls.  Recently she moved to Tampa and I don't know if that's a good thing or not.  It does means I have the G-Kidz all to myself which is good but on the other hand it makes me the only babysitter readily available.  Hmmmm......
Well, I guess it's til next time.  Next I think I'll tackle driving and sitting on plastic!
I just have to laugh!!!
The beauty of life is to experience yourself!

Soul Food Monday! An Inspirational Link-Up #18

Man is the soul that uses the body as an instrument of self-expression.
Hola Readers! Hope this morning everyone is having a great rise along with a BIG appetite for life where ever in the world you may find yourself today. A life filled with excitement and prosperity!   Acknowledging first that we are more than just a body is a good start to healthy wholeness.  Let's take time to feed the soul.  We feed our bodies with healthy foods to get enough energy and nutrients for optimal growth and development.  We feed and stimulate the mind with books, movies, plays and games for personal and creative development.  The same principal applies to feeding the soul.  It is just as important to feed the body as it is to feed the soul!  After all, the soul is the core of who we are!  It is who we are.  My own experiences of honoring my soul has helped me make this connection with my very soul.  And my life is so much richer in so many ways I could not have even imagined.  This is why I refuse to believe that we are just here to work, eat, sleep and die.  Yes, these are inevitable experiences we live as human beings, but we are spiritual beings as well.  So join me every Monday with a different food for the soul.

This week's feed continues with the last of Making Decisions series...

The Seven Decisions consist of seven affirmation readings for each day of the week.  The author, Andy Andrew, came up with these decisions while being homeless after losing both his parents at the tender age of 19.  These seven decisions eventually shaped his book The Traveler's Gift later in life.  I believe these seven decisions to be an enriching source of food for the soul as well as a great spiritual growth tool.  Thereby I've decided to incorporate them in my Soul Food Monday Inspirational Link-Up until all seven have been shared.

Decision 7
The Persistent Decision
I Will Persist Without Exception.

Knowing that I have already made changes in my life that will last forever, today I insert the final piece of the puzzle.  I possess the greatest power ever bestowed upon mankind, the power of choice.  Today, I choose to persist without exception.  No longer will I live in a dimension of distraction, my focus blown hither and you like a leaf on a blustery day.  I know the outcome I desire.  I hold fast to my dreams.  I stay the course.  I do not quit.

I will persist without exception.  I will continue despite exhaustion.  I acknowledge the fact that most people quit when exhaustion sets in.  I am not "most people."  I am stronger than most people.  Average people accept exhaustion as a matter of course.  I do not.  Average people compare themselves with other people.  That is why they are average.  I compare myself to my potential.  I am not average.  I see exhaustion as a precursor to victory.

How long must a child try to walk before he actually does so?  Do I not have more strength than a child?  More understanding?  More desire?  How long must I work to succeed before I actually do so?  A child would never ask the question, for the answer does not matter.  By persisting without exception, my outcome--my success--is assured.  I will persist without exception.  I focus on results.

To achieve the results I desire, it is not even necessary that I enjoy the process.  It is only important that I continue the process with my eyes on the outcome.  An athlete does not enjoy the pain of training; an athlete enjoys the results of having trained.  A young falcon is pushed from the nest, afraid and tumbling from the cliff.  The pain of learning to fly cannot be an enjoyable experience, but the anguish of learning to fly is quickly forgotten as the falcon soars to the heavens.

A sailor who fearfully watches stormy seas lash his vessel will always steer an unproductive course.  But, a wise and experienced captain keeps his eye firmly fixed upon the lighthouse.  He knows that by guiding his ship directly to a specific point, the time spent in discomfort is lessened.  And by keeping his eye on the light, there never exists one second of discouragement.  My light, my harbor, my future is within sight!

I will persist without exception.  I am a person of great faith.  In Jeremiah, my Creator declares, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."   From this day forward, I will claim a faith in the certainty of my future.  Too much of my life has been spent doubting my beliefs and believing my doubts.  No more!  I have faith in my future.  I do not look left or right.  I look forward.  I can only persist.

For me, faith will always be a sounder guide than reason because reason can only go so far...faith has no limits.  I will expect miracles in my life because faith produces them every day.  I will believe in the future that I do not see.  That is faith.  And the reward of this faith is to see the future that I believed.

I will continue despite exhaustion.  I focus on results.  I am a person of great faith.

I WILL PERSIST WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

I hope you all hold these 7 decision in your heart and engrave them in your mind and revisit them often to stay focused!  You can also always come back here to read them.

Wishing everyone a magical Monday and a week full of love, laughter and excitement!
