Bright & Shiny Blue Pinwheels!

Good Tuesday morning my beautiful Ponderers!!!

As I was driving home from work yesterday afternoon, I came upon the crossing of the big fountain of water I drive by everyday.  But this particular day the streaming blue water caught my attention and i mean literally blue.  Then I noticed the array of shiny blue pinwheels lined up across the grass in front of a banner with words that caught my attention...April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Naturally, I hit the breaks, pulled out my camera when a car decided to come up behind me!  That didn't stop me though, I drove ahead and made a U-turn right back, but this time I parked to the side with the blinkers on.  I jumped out of the car and ran across the street and started shooting away as I enjoyed the breeze and the warmth of the sun.  The combination of the breeze, the warmth of the sun and the whistling sound of the spinning pinwheels set an inspiring melody in my heart.  A melody that sang I have to get involved!  So one way to get involved is to get others involved as well.  I believe that simply spreading the awareness is a huge step forward to making any kind of change. After the parade of the 5 o'clock traffic passerbyers shooting looks of what-the-heck-is-this crazy-woman-doing-in-the-middle-of-the-street at me, to include the director of my department at work, I  strutt'd safely down the street to towards my car wearing a big smile on my face and feeling good!

Needless to say, as soon as I arrived at my cozy little haven, I rushed into the bedroom, kicked off my stiletttos and headed straight to my laptop to do some investigative work.  As a matter of fact, when I was 17, which I should mention was not too long ago (cough-cough), I wanted a  motorcycle and also to be a private investigator. I don't know why this thought came into mind, but it did so I thought I'd mention it.  Anyway, I felt at "home" engaging in this investigation stuff and set out to research this organization that so colorfully caught my attention on that breezy and sunny afternoon.  This is what I've discovered thus far.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, Prevent Child Abuse America was founded in 1972, is based in Chicago and it works to ensure the healthy development of children nationwide.  This information was good enough for me to want to learn more about how I can further serve.   If you would like to show your support or learn more about how you can help, here is their link http://www.pinwheelsforprevention.org/index.php    (yep I got that too).  The even have a Face Book page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Prevent-Child-Abuse-America/14893558501 (yep I got that too).  I also became the 42,499 person to "Like" their page and the their 653rd to be "talking about this".  No need to thank me. Now you have no excuse not to at least find out more information on how YOU can help too. Together we CAN make a change to better the world for ALL!

As I so colorfully was gifted with the knowledge of the bright & shiny blue pinwheels, I shall too pay it forward by gifting you with knowledge as colorfully as well! I did something with my gift, what are you going to do with yours?  Have a superdeedooperdee day!

Thank you all for visiting!  As always your thoughts, views and comments are highly suggested and appreciated!  Keep coming back to Inspire and be Inspired!
