Just Chillin' in My Hot Pink Poncho 'Round the Hot Pink Flower Bush!

I remember loving ponchos as a little girl.  I even remember how happy I got when my Mother brought home a yellow one especially for me.  It was a bright deep yellow one with holes in the front for you to place your hand through to eat, play and wave hello or good-bye.  When I think of ponchos, I think of warmth and comfort.  So when I went thrifting and found this gorgeous hot pink one hanging in the clothes rails, I knew it was meant for me.  It was hot pink for godsakes; with my name written all over it.  There was no way I was leaving it there for somebody else to treasure when clearly it was meant for me.
I loved the bright hot pink flower bush adorning around my former cozy little Kansas apartment.
I'm really going to miss the cool Midwestern fall afternoons.  I am not, however, going to miss the cold winter snowed-in mornings, afternoons and nights!  I am happy to be in old
sunny South Florida for the winter season!
I was probably admiring the clear blue sky or perhaps just posing pretty for the picture ;)
There's only so much laziness I can endure before the natural silliness in me emerges.  I just start jumping or spinning around with the breeze or start singing or dancing.  I'm cool like that.
I embrace and enjoy laughter!

  1. It's funny that you should mention the cold Midwestern mornings. Yeah. It got really cold, really fast here in Wisconsin. I love it 'cause not I can wear my scarfs, but yeah.... it's cold.

And you look fa-bu-lous in that hot pink poncho! And one with holes for your hands sounds too cute!!

  2. Mayra,

You cannot possibly get more adorable!!

    Love you girl!

  3. Hey HOT PINK is my favorite color too!!! I always feel a girl should be a little pink from time to time!!! Speaking of panchos I will soon be putting a post that will show us woman how to create our own fringed scarf out of old not used T-shirts!!! To inspire and be inspired, TTYLS <3
