Soul Food Monday! - An Inspirational Link-Up #42

Man is the soul who uses the body as an instrument of self-expression.
Hola Readers! Hope this morning everyone is having a great rise along with a BIG appetite for life where ever in the world you may find yourself today. A life filled with excitement and prosperity!   Acknowledging first that we are more than just a body is a good start to healthy wholeness.  Let's take time to feed the soul. We feed our bodies with healthy foods to get enough energy and nutrients for optimal growth and development.  We feed and stimulate the mind with books, movies, plays and games for personal and creative development.  The same principal applies to feeding the soul.  It is just as important to feed the body as it is to feed the soul!  After all, the soul is the core of who we are!  It is who we are.  My own experiences of honoring my soul has helped me make this connection with my very soul.  And my life is so much richer in so many ways I could not have even imagined.  This is why I refuse to believe that we are just here to work, eat, sleep and die.  Yes, these are inevitable experiences we live as human beings, but we are spiritual beings as well.  So join me every Monday with a different food for the soul.
Life, life, life.  Really don't know what to think of it anymore.  Sometimes I find it to be a beautiful canvas I'm eager to paint my own colors on and sometimes it's just a blank canvas I'm numb to.  But, the journey continues and it really is up me.  It is about making a choice.  A choice to remain eager even in the midst of numbness.  It's about finding inspiration in anything and everything.  It's about recognizing how blessed I am to alive.  About being grateful for everything and anything.  This weekend I was blessed to have my youngest daughter spend the weekend with me.  I hadn't seen in about a month, but it felt like years.  I dedicate

  6. I understand exactly what you mean. I feel sad. Deeply sad. Dispaired. I feel so consumed by it, making me numb to be inspired. A blur, unfocused to see a blessing. Until one day, a few days ago to be exact a handsome angel with tender eyes approched me. Revealed his name. Malik. Meaning king of all kingdoms and said....you have blessings inside you and all around you. That I have domain to let go of the negativity I'm caring around. And as a switch of the light when entering a dark room my spirit lit up and I understood. From that moment on when I start feeling that sadness coming over me I choose to feel it out of me and I physically feel it disappearing. It works. I haven't felt this overwhelming sadness any more. Not that deep. This....is strength from inside of me. I am so thankfull to have this WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL ANGEL in my life. My handsome nephew! Thx for sharing mi li' sis!
