30 Days Grateful: Day 30 - Intentionally Grateful

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today.  I cannot believe this is my last grateful of the month.  I did it!  I completed 30 days grateful and I am a better person for it.  It is a blessing to live intentionally and focus on what I have rather than what I don't have.  I am grateful for the ability, opportunity and choice to be grateful not for just 30 days, but grateful every day.

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today....I am grateful for being able to be grateful.

Thank you all who came by and shared these enriching days with me.

What are you grateful for today?

Tootles!

The Aloha Friday Blog Hop is more than a "Friday" hop, it's a way to share aloha and friendship to our fellow bloggers all weekend long!!  I consider this particular blog hop to be more of a weekend hop because Fridays are so hectic that a lot of people function on what we like to call "Hawaiian Time" here in Hawai'i which means they link up on Saturday or sometimes even Sunday which is just fine and dandy with me!  That's why I keep it open from Friday through Monday because I sincerely believe, the more the merrier!!

30 Days Grateful: Day 29 - My Artistic Abilities!

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today.  Lately I've been thinking more and more about my artwork. If you are a frequent reader, then you should already know the challenge I faced embracing my art.  My artistic abilities emerged during a very difficult period in my life.  I refer to this time as my darkness.  Relatively I refer to the artwork I created during this period as My Darkness Collection.

For years I stored this artwork away.  However, I have commenced to embrace my artwork.  I have made significant connections with many pieces.  I am understanding and learning the inspiration behind them and have learned to accept them as part of who I am.  I'd love to share another piece from this collection.  I have yet to connect with this piece therefore it remains nameless:

As a result of embracing my old artwork, I have started to create new pieces.  I'd like to share a piece from my new collection as well.  This piece was created as a gift to my baby sister whom I love and miss very much.

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today...I am grateful for my artistic ability.

What are you grateful for today?

30 Days Grateful: Day 28 - "Watcha Talkin' Bout Willis!?"

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today.  I am realizing that my age grows older yet my spirit grows younger.  They say one must embrace their age gracefully, I say "Watcha talkin' bout Willis!?"  I don't have to do anything I don't want to do.  What does gracefully mean anyway?  Well, if you know me, you know I looked it up and according to dictionary.com, it means "characterized by elegance or beauty of form, manner, movement, or speech; elegant".

Okay, I have no problem with being graceful.  I can do graceful.  I will be as graceful as I can when swinging at the park or sliding down the slide.  My movements will be graceful as I elegantly drop it like it's hot when I dance.  I will remain elegant in my fave Betty Boop hat!
My speech will spit out elegance as I gracefully shout "Whodatiah" or "I shonuff is one fine sexy diva!".  My loud, happy, natural laugh will generate vibes of elegance as I gracefully play chasing a butterfly or dribbling my basket ball.
Yep, I can do "gracefully" just fine.  As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today....MY FOREVER YOUNG SPIRIT!

I LOVE sharing!  And more so, when YOU share!
Please tell me what you are grateful for today! ;)

SUPERDEEDUPERDEE SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT

Meet Chelsea!
Welcome to the "Sponsor Spotlight!"  It is my pleasure to introduce you all to:  My Exclusive Superdeeduperdee Sponsor of the month, Chelsea, who blogs over at
The Big, Beautiful & Broke Blog

1)  When and what inspired you to start blogging?
I started my blog in July of this year. I work a very stressful job (ER nurse) and was struggling financially and emotionally. I needed an outlet away from work and school, so I started blogging. I wanted to have a document of 365 days to show myself that I made it through a rough time in one piece! Soon after I started, I became addicted and found that loved writing and meeting new people!

2)  What is the main objective of your blog?
It's was intended to be a place where I can talk about life's struggles and help people learn from my mistakes. I struggle mostly with my weight and with money. I figured weight loss and money issues were something everyone either struggles with or has struggled with, making both relatable topics.

3)  What do you admire most of yourself?
My ability to learn from my mistakes and take every experience as a lesson learned.
4)  What song would describe your life lately and why?
Stronger by Kelly Clarkson

5)  How and where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
I see myself still happily married, with a couple of kids, still working in the nursing field and hopefully still blogging!

6)  Favorite place in the whole wide world.
At home, with my family.

7)  What is the best advice you've ever received and from whom?
Time heals all wounds. Simple, but true.

8)  What is the best advice you've ever given and to whom?
Mistakes happen, because no one is perfect. Take the mistakes and learn from them.

9)  Share your most embarrassing moment.
I was in Florida visiting my aunt. We went out to eat and I went to use the restroom. When I walked out, a long piece of toilet paper was stuck to my sandal. I didn't notice until I was halfway across the restaurant. I now check EVERY time I leave the bathroom.

10)What do you want people to remember you most by?
That I'm a good nurse, compassionate, and dorky :)

Thank you Chelsea for being YOU!  :D

30 Days Grateful: Day 27 - Unexplained Connections!

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep (and in a rush), I ponder upon what I am grateful for today.  I received a very nice, yet unexpected, email from a very nice person I call "Boss Lady".   She never did like it when I called her that.  She always smiled so humbly.  I met her in Kansas and since the very first day we met, there was an unexplained connection between us.  Although our crossings at work were limited, they were always meaningful.  I only have the highest respect and admiration for her.  She always inspired the best in me.  It's funny how some simple words in an email can stir waves of emotions.

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today... unexplained connections!

30 Days Grateful: Day 26 - Is Laughter Truly Good Medicine?

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today.  Lately I've been noticing mood swings on and off.  At times I have experienced sudden unexpected sadness.  Although I allow myself to embrace the sadness, I always bring myself back up with thoughts of happy times.  Like when I laugh.  I LOVE to laugh!  It's natural to me.  It invigorates and refreshes my spirit!

I have heard people question if laughter truly is good medicine.  Well, I've learned that there are proven clinical benefits to laughter.  Did you know that it enhances the immune system and makes it more resistance to diseases?  Perhaps that is why I seldom get sick.  So, I definitely say "YES!" to laughter truly being good medicine!

As I lay my head to rest and my soul to sleep, I ponder upon what I am grateful for today...I am grateful for LAUGHTER!!!
So tell me, are you grateful for anything today?
If so, go'hed and share...it just might inspire someone's life!
