Recipe of the Week: Fried Donuts! Yum!

This week's recipe is easy and suhweet!  When my daughter told me she was making fried donuts, I never imagined it would entail biscuits!  Yes, biscuits!  I couldn't believe how tasty each bite was!  Delicioso!  It is superdeeduperdee easy to make, easy on the pocket and great served as a snack or dessert.

Ingredients:

~1 Roll of Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Biscuit
~Canela (Spanish for Cinnamon)
~Sweetened Condensed Milk
~Sugar
~Oil

The store was out of stock of our fave, honey butter as well as butter tasting biscuits, so we went with buttermilk which is just as good!  Start by pouring oil in a frying pan or cazuela, preheating the stove on medium high and proceed with cutting each biscuit into 4 pieces.

Time for frying!  Place the biscuit pieces into the pan and fry for a few minutes, flipping occasionally until golden brown.  It literally takes about 3 minutes so make sure you keep an eye on them, if not they will burn (I know ;))

Once they are golden brown, you place them in a bowl, add the sugar and cinnamon, to taste, and you shake them all around (hmmm somehow that sounds like a familiar childhood tune).  Serve with a side of condensed milk for dipping and watch the smiles!  You can also use Nutella or Dulce de Leche.

Enjoy!  Please come back and share how your familia, friends and loved ones liked your fried donuts!
