POMS #19: I Sho Nuff Is One Fine Looking Woman!

I think I've missed the last two of Rachele's I Am Proud of My Size Link Up.  However, I want to attempt and to continue participating because comparing where I am today with my body acceptance journey to the way it was at my first link up, I'd have to say I've come a long way baby.  It's been a self-struggling and emotional journey but I can really say I am happy.

I have always been one not to follow trends or care about what other people think about me or what I wear or even how I look, so imagine now that I, myself, can accept and love my body as a whole.  I am now comfortable wearing a shirt or blouse that bare my arms.  I am really amazed at myself.  I mean there was no way in hell that you would find me wearing anything that bared my arms out in the open.  I hated my arms!  And my thighs, well there was no way I'd be caught in tight jeans that defined the curves of my thighs.  I would die!

Today I'm loving my thighs and wearing jeans.  Today my arms are the same but I love them just as they are.  I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and say "You sho nuff is one fine looking woman!".  Then I stretch out my arms wide to the side and start flapping my wings like a butterfly and start laughing!  A good laugh!  A laugh of happiness!  A laugh of self-love and acceptance.  A laugh of "I sho nuff iah" proud of my size!

I am even accepting my double chin. I mean just because I have one, does that mean I should not use my facial expressions!?  I don't think so.  Not anymore.  I will express what ever it is that I feel. "Oooh, look at that, it's my man Chris Hemsworth and Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson a/k/a The Rock calling me all at the same time!"  What to do?  What to do?  Gotta go ladies ;)

How about you?  Where are you at with your body acceptance journey?

Tootles!
